When to send wedding invitations

Being organized is the key! Wedding invitations need to be sent out 6–8 weeks before the wedding and you will need to allow a month for your invitations to be made.

Three months prior to your wedding is the time to be booking  in your invitations and wedding stationery.  Allow yourself the time to choose exactly what you want, when booking your invitation printing with Onepost, you will receive 3 FREE PROOFS –an initial design proof and allowing you 2 AMENDMENT PROOFS to tweak your design to perfection.

After submitting your wedding details within 3 business days you will receive your first emailed PDF File, looking exactly as it will be printed. You can then email back directions for changes and a new proof will be sent through. We find that RSVP dates vary from 1 month to two weeks prior to your wedding day. This all depends on your reception venue and how much notice for catering they need and how much time you need.

Remember that you can only really expect on average an 80% return on your RSVP’s and there will be guests that you will have to contact. By sending your invitations 6–8 weeks ahead of your wedding date you are allowing your guests ample time to respond.
